Agriculture

Malnutrition is a major global challenge. 795 million people around the world are undernourished, and poor nutrition causes nearly half the deaths of children under the age of five — about 3.1 million children each year. Despite these statistics, and despite the growing population in the world, arable land continues to decrease. It is estimated that more than 60% of all arable land has been affected by land degradation. Moreover, global warming and climate change are increasing the volatility of our food supply, which contributes to the frequency and intensity of famine.

At KYM International, we aim to combat malnutrition, hunger and food insecurity by providing trainings on effective farming practices. We hope to increase food supply and security while protecting arable lands. The transition to modern farming practices is an urgent matter, especially in developing countries where the food supply is already unstable.
